Battle of Mind Maps!
Note: Before you read on, I would recommend you reading the Freemind Review to better understand why I wrote this post.
New discovery with the Mind mapping software is the latest version of Xmind, an alternative to the Godfather of all mind maps Freemind. Just recently I downloaded Xmind and OMG! It is amazing. For anyone who already uses Freemind stop right now, download it and be amazed.
The clarity and simplicity of use is brilliant. Not to mention the abundance add-ons you get along with it by default. If you can visual person you will love the icon buttons and the Theme options to change the map look and feel. On the right of the display there is a drop down menu of all the topics you have noted.
On the downside, unlike Freemind, something you are stuck with is the inability to custom move the main topics to any position you like but I guess is accommodated with you are able to choose from a map pop-up how they look. I still yet to explore Xmind a bit further and will keep updating you further with amazing new features I discovered.
On one last unique thing I forgot to mention about Xmind is this the a function I personlly can use, which is online collaboration. With a click of a button you can upload the the entire mind map online and share it with others!
